Bella Poarch
Bella Poarch was born in the Philippines on February 9 1997 to her biological Filipino parents. Her grandmother grew up in slums until she was three years old when she was adopted. The family she adopted is up of one Filipino adoptive mother as well as white American military veteran. Her mother claims that she and her brother who was adopted when a baby, were abused before they joined the military. In order to move to Texas at the age of 13, her family spent several months staying in San Francisco to stay with her Aunt. Physical abuse stopped however, the father continued to emotionally abuse her in the home. She enlisted in the United States Navy when she turned 18. Poarch began with her TikTok account on April 2020 and quickly became a household name with more than 40 million users within less than eight months. She uploaded many videos and the one that was most popular was her rendition of Millie's viral hit Soph Aspin Send. A zoomed-in clip of her synchronized lip-syncing to the song and leaping in sync with it, was an extremely viral video which has since become TikTok's most popular video. In order to capitalize on the popularity she gained following her joining TikTok in December of 2016, Poarch set up YouTube as well as Twitter profiles.
