Anne Phung Nguyen
Anne Phung Nguyen. I am an American Vietnamese business owner living in Orange County, California. Alongside my amazing partner JP and my jolly father Henry. Most people know me through my Instagram platform @annephung where I post my daily life: my highs, lows and all in between. My parents brought me into America in 1990, when I was just a year old. It wouldn't be possible to share my life story today if my parents didn't work hard and make sacrifices. With the opportunity to have the best life possible, I wanted to do the best I could to please them, and was focused on achieving my goals. My goal was to go to school to graduate, and then get a good job. After that, I was looking for to have a family and a wife. I believed that this was the epitome of success life had other plans to demonstrate what it meant to be successful. In 2013, my job as a corporate employee was something I dreaded. Status and money did not bring me joy. I felt I was living a solitary existence to get a pay check. I had a passion for exercising and enjoyed being social and helping others while I walked the new direction in my life. I was drawn to personal training. This year I will celebrate the 7th year anniversary of my business. In 2014, I started my own small business. It's not common to see an Asian woman in this business. In order to be an innovator in my field and provide high-quality coaching and assist others in achieving an improved and happier life by creating a healthy lifestyle to suit their requirements and objectives. Also, I want people to feel empowered to pursue their goals and achieve anything they desire in their life. While my career was taking the air and I was advancing, my mom passed away. This loss is the most devastating of them everything. She won her eight year struggle with scleroderma, and now rests in Heaven and is with me in my mind and heart at all times. It is amazing how life can give us the exact lessons we need even when we don't realize that it is there. My mother's abrupt death that altered my life forever. It was a true blessing. I was given a second chance to live my living a full and fulfilling life. She passed away at the age of 87 on Tet/Lunar New Year Day. It was the day she decided to begin her new life. I was given a second chance at living the life of a fulfilled and happy. As I enter my 30's, I feel more vibrant than I have ever. It is true that I live my life today rather than just existing as I did in the past. My intention in telling my story is to let you know that, you are not alone. I want you to feel that love is real and that therapy is common. Your health is truly the most important asset you have. My hope is that you live life to your best and never have regrets in your final days. Death is our only guarantee in our lives.
